In a concerning turn of events, two unidentified individuals riding motorcycles opened fire outside the Bandra residence of Bollywood superstar Salman Khan in the early hours of Sunday. The incident occurred around 5 am, with the attackers reportedly wearing helmets and firing five rounds outside the actor's home. Fortunately, Salman Khan was unharmed, but this episode adds to a series of threats the actor has faced over the past few years. ALSO READ: SHOCKING! Following the shooting, the Mumbai police registered a First Information Report (FIR) and launched an investigation into the matter. This incident is one of several threats made against the actor recently. In March 2023, Salman's manager received a threatening email that referenced an interview given by jailed gangster Lawrence Bishnoi, in which Bishnoi issued a direct threat to the actor. The email, sent from an account linked to Mohit Garg, mentioned that Canada-based gangster Goldy Brar wanted to speak with Salman "face to face" to resolve the issue and warned of potential consequences if the matter was not settled. In June 2022, a threat letter was found at a location on Bandra Bandstand, where Salman's father, Salim Khan, would walk. The letter ominously warned that Salman could meet a fate similar to that of singer Sidhu Moosewala, who was killed in May 2022 by alleged members of the Bishnoi gang. An FIR was also filed in response to the threat letter.
Earlier, during an interrogation by the Punjab Police, a member of the Bishnoi gang revealed that two men had conducted reconnaissance along Salman's route from Mumbai to his Panvel farmhouse. These men allegedly rented a room in the area for a month to monitor the actor's movements. The Mumbai police, however, could not corroborate these claims.

The ongoing threats against Salman Khan are believed to stem from his alleged involvement in the blackbuck poaching case from 1998, which took place during the filming of the movie Hum Saath-Saath Hain in Rajasthan. Blackbucks are considered sacred by the Bishnoi community, leading Lawrence Bishnoi to harbor resentment toward the actor.
Lawrence Bishnoi, a Punjab-based gangster with numerous cases of murder and extortion against him, gained notoriety following the murder of Moosewala. Goldy Brar claimed responsibility for the singer's murder and stated he had planned the attack with Bishnoi while the latter was imprisoned in Tihar jail. These developments underscore the gravity of the threats facing Salman Khan and the need for heightened security measures around his residence. Police are currently investigating the matter.
